General Project Description

The City of Santa Monica's Mobility Division (SaMoDOT) is inviting proposals for professional consulting services to design and engineer signal improvements on Neilson Way and Lincoln Boulevard & Hill Street. The project aims to advance the City's "Vision Zero" goals by reducing emissions, enhancing the multimodal roadway network, and eliminating severe/fatal collisions. Key components include the installation of full pedestrian signals and ADA-compliant curb ramps at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Hill Street (Project 1), traffic signal modifications along Neilson Way at Pico Boulevard and Ocean Park Boulevard, including new traffic signal poles, signal head/controller replacements, signing, striping, and ADA-compliant curb ramps (Project 2), and traffic signal pole replacements at Hollister and Neilson Existing marked crosswalk (Project 3). Deliverables encompass traffic signal plans, signing & striping plans, civil plans, traffic signal timing plans, quantity/cost estimates, and construction support.
