Santa Paula City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, CITY OF SANTA PAULA OIL MUSEUM ROOF REPLACEMENT, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 1001 E Main St, Santa Paula, CA 93060, USA in Ventura County.

General Project Description

The project involves the demolition, asbestos abatement, and reroofing of the existing City of Santa Paula Oil Museum roof to bring the building up to current code compliance. The scope includes site preparation, hazardous material abatement (asbestos in roofing mastic, felt, and torch-down material) and subsequent testing, removal and replacement of existing roof components (drains, HVAC curbs, skylight curbs, ventilation fans, roof hatch assembly, weather station equipment), installation of a new high-performance multi-ply low-slope roof system (fiberglass base sheet and torch-applied modified mineral roll sheet with Class "A" fire rating), installation of metal coping flashing for parapet walls, and installation of various roof accessories such as grating walkways, step-over stairs, fixed aluminum access ladders, a new code-compliant roof hatch, roof-mounted guardrail, and fire-safe square roof gravity/exhaust vents.

Josam or equal), preparation of roof surface for adhesion, and installation of 5,800 SF high performance, multi-ply low-slope roof system (fiberglass base sheet and torch-applied modified mineral roll sheet, Class "A" fire rating) on entire roof surface and interior of parapet walls.

Bilco or equal) at existing location (min. 16 sq. ft. clear opening with min. 2' clear width), installation of 1 new Bilco Model # RL2-F 48x48 Hatch Guardrail or equal at roof hatch, installation of 4 fire safe square roof gravity vents (Manuf. Able Sheet Metal Economy Gravity Vents, 14" x 14", ¼" 23 ga. square mesh or equal), installation of 2 fire safe exhaust vents (Manuf. Air King or equal) at lower roof Staff Toilet Room, and reinstallation of existing stored skylights (reattach on new curbs, flash and seal).
