General Project Description

This project involves the construction of a 100% ADA compliant bicycle and pedestrian shared-use overcrossing spanning U.S. 101 to connect Elliot Avenue (Santa Rosa Junior College area) to Edwards Avenue (Coddingtown Shopping Center area) in Santa Rosa, California. The scope includes civil engineering and heavy construction for the bridge structure, site enhancements, landscaping (including tree protection and irrigation systems), utility work (sanitary sewer, water distribution, storm drain), temporary traffic control systems, pavement markings, and installation of specialized structural components like stay cables and tuned mass dampers. Extensive excavation, concrete work (structural, textured, and overlays), structural steel fabrication and erection, and miscellaneous metal installations are required. The project also entails significant site management, public safety measures, and environmental controls for stormwater and noise.
