General Project Description

This project involves the roofing replacement at Sequoia High School, specifically covering the B-Wing, Lenkurt Lab Building, Main Building-West, and Gym 3 building. The scope includes the demolition and disposal of existing roofing materials down to the structural deck, replacement of any damaged/dry rot wood, and removal/replacement of associated elements like vents, hoods, gutters, pipe jacks, downspouts, flashings, expansion joints, and conduit sleepers. New gutters and downspouts will be 22 gauge flat stock with gutter guards. Low slope roof sections will receive HPR Glasbase, new insulation matching existing thickness, and ½” gypsum cover board (mechanically fastened). Roofing systems to be installed include Stressbase 120 in Green Lock Membrane adhesive, KEE 60 mil FB with spatter spray, Stressbase 80 Premium in Green Lock Flashing Adhesive, and KEE Stone NF flashing roll in KEE Lock WB Flashing Adhesive. New Dura Block conduit sleepers are also required. Sloped roof sections will have existing asphalt shingles removed, wood sheathing inspected/replaced, and all flashings, metal trim, vent hoods, pipe penetrations, gutters, downspouts, and edge metal replaced. Exterior galvalume components will be post-painted by the contractor, while non-visible low slope metal will be white kynar coated. ½” Dens Deck Board will be mechanically attached for sloped sections. The project also mandates hazardous materials abatement, construction waste management with a 65% recycling target, and compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
