General Project Description

This project encompasses the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, traffic control, supervision, debris removal, and incidentals necessary for a one-time citywide pruning, trimming, removal, and maintenance of City-owned trees. Work locations include public streets, medians, parks, rights-of-way, alleys, and other City facilities. Key objectives are to improve public safety and visibility, maintain roadway, alley, and sidewalk clearances, remove hazardous limbs and deadwood, promote long-term tree health and structure, and ensure a uniform tree appearance along City roadways. All work must conform to ANSI A300 Tree Care Standards, ANSI Z133 Arboricultural Safety Standards, ISA Best Management Practices, and City of Shafter requirements.
