General Project Description
The Shasta County Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide as-needed geotechnical services for various public works projects and maintenance activities. The scope includes performing field observations, evaluating site conditions, conducting field testing such as soil and rock boring and sampling, and preparing related geotechnical and soils reports, construction plans, and specifications. The consultant will also be required to respond to geotechnical questions, attend meetings with County staff, and coordinate for necessary regulatory permits. These services will encompass areas such as reinforced embankments, slope stability, foundation design, drainage improvements, and erosion control.
