General Project Description

The County of Shasta invites proposals from qualified affordable housing developers to secure funding for the predevelopment, development, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable rental and ownership housing, including Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). Projects should primarily serve residents earning up to 120 percent of Area Median Income (AMI) within Shasta County (outside City of Redding limits), with owner-occupied rehabilitation projects specifically in the City of Shasta Lake. Funding will be provided as fully deferred, low-interest loans with a 55-year affordability period. Responders must be knowledgeable about Davis-Bacon compliance, securing additional funding (40% of construction costs), and completing environmental reviews.
