General Project Description
The County of Solano, Public Works Division, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide hauling services for road materials, including asphalt cement, aggregates, and SS-1 oil. These services will support the transportation of materials to various County corporation yards (Fairfield, Vacaville, Rio Vista, and Dixon), stockpiles, and other designated locations for road repair and maintenance. The contract will run for an approximate six-month period from January 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026. Contractors must furnish all necessary labor, equipment (e.g., 10-20 cubic yard 10-wheelers, transfers, or end dumps with tarping systems), fuel, and incidentals, complying with Cal/OSHA, California Vehicle Code, and all applicable state and local hauling regulations. Prevailing wage laws and DIR registration apply if material manipulation or spreading is required at the jobsite, or if deliveries are not to County corporation yards.
