Sonoma County Water Agency is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Request for Proposals for Habitat Restoration Projects in Support of the 2026 Stream Maintenance Program (Watershed Partnership Program), identified under Solicitation ID: 25/26-051. Work is to be performed near 404 Aviation Blvd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, USA in Sonoma County.
General Project Description
The Sonoma County Water Agency (Sonoma Water) invites proposals from firms to provide habitat restoration or enhancement services for the 2026 Watershed Partnership Program (WPP) in support of its Stream Maintenance Program (SMP). The program aims to conduct stream maintenance activities, comply with environmental regulations, and maintain flood capacity while enhancing natural resources. Projects will focus on off-site mitigation, improving water quality, restoring habitats, and ecosystem functions within Flood Control Zones 1A, 2A, 3A, 5A, and 8A in Sonoma County. The goal is to restore or enhance a combined area equivalent to at least 10% of the total area impacted by Sonoma Water’s stream maintenance construction activities, with an estimated minimum of 1.30 acres of restored/enhanced habitat. Projects must be installed by the end of 2026 or March 2027 and include a 5-year maintenance, monitoring, and reporting period. Proposers are encouraged to request Sonoma Water funding of $100,000 or less per project.
