General Project Description

This project involves the undergrounding of utility lines within the Mission Road Underground Utility District in South San Francisco, CA. The scope includes relocating overhead utility lines to below ground, installing new utility boxes, vaults, conduits, service trenches, and coordinating with existing joint trench participants for tie-in and service conversion. Additionally, the project requires constructing new sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps, installing a new streetlight lighting system, and removing existing inlets while constructing new ones, storm drain manholes, reinforced concrete pipe, and replacing drainage ditches. Key activities also include removing existing utility poles, restoring and relocating various surface features (pavement, vehicle detector loops, roadway signs, traffic striping, pavement marking, curb, gutter, sidewalks, driveways, fence, landscaping), adjusting utility covers to new grades, implementing water pollution control, and maintaining approved traffic control throughout the project duration, as well as preserving existing survey monuments.
