General Project Description

The City of Suisun City is seeking a Consultant Architect to conduct a comprehensive Facility Needs and Feasibility Study for its Police Department and Fire Station. The study will objectively evaluate current facilities, identify viable options for operations support, compliance, and anticipated staffing growth, driven by existing space limitations, new staffing additions, and state/regulatory requirements (e.g., Emergency Medical Dispatch mandates). The consultant will provide data collection and analysis, stakeholder coordination, operational and facility assessments (including structural integrity, design, expansion potential, HVAC, energy, electrical, space/storage capacity, emergency power, hazardous materials), and develop recommendations for remodeling, renovation, expansion, or new construction. This includes providing order-of-magnitude cost estimates for various options and planning for a future second fire station, considering temporary and alternative facility solutions.
