General Project Description

The Sunrise Recreation and Park District (SRPD) is seeking an experienced professional contractor to provide services for resurfacing the seven dedicated tennis courts at Antelope Community Park. The project includes comprehensive court cleaning and preparation, low spot/birdbath repair, structural crack repair using Nova Bond materials, application of high-quality Nova Bond acrylic base and color coatings (Stadium Blue for inner playing areas, Grass Green for surrounding areas), court layout and striping for regulation-size courts, installation of USTA-recommended blended playing lines, and general site cleanup.

General Bid Items

  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Resurfacing 7 regulation size Tennis Courts at Antelope Community Park. Specifications: Court Cleaning/Preparation: Contractor shall sand, scrape, and/or power wash the entire court surface to remove dirt, stains, debris, mildew, loose surfacing material, and other materials that may impact adhesion of acrylic coatings. Low Spot/Birdbath Repair: Inspect surface for depressions (areas holding water deeper than 1/16”) after water flooding/draining, mark outlines, and patch/level with Nova Bond acrylic court leveling material once dried. Crack Repair: Rout, air blow, and clean all structural cracks in pavement; fill entire depth with Nova Bond crack filler material (multiple applications if necessary); feather and sand all crack repairs to be even with adjacent court surface. Debris Removal: Thoroughly remove all dirt, debris, and any loose or deteriorated surface material to ensure a clean and stable foundation for new coatings. Base Coating: Apply two (2) coats of high-quality Nova Bond acrylic base coating across the entire court surface. Color Coating - Inner Playing Areas: Apply two (2) coats of Nova Bond acrylic court color coating (Stadium Blue) with sand added for texture for inner playing areas. Color Coating - Surrounding Areas: Apply two (2) coats of Nova Bond acrylic court color coating (Grass Green) with sand added for texture for surrounding areas. Court Layout and Striping: Layout and accurately stripe seven (7) regulation-size tennis courts, applying two coats of durable white paint to create official court markings and boundaries. Blended Playing Lines Installation: Provide and install blended 36/60-foot tennis playing lines at the facility, in accordance with USTA recommendations; Courts 1 thru 7 receive 60' blended lines (1 1/2" wide, terminate 3" from 78' court playing lines), and be textured line paint within the same color family as the 78' court. Site Cleanup: Remove all materials, equipment, barrels, etc. from the site and restore the general site to an acceptable condition.
