General Project Description

This project requires an experienced contractor for the removal and replacement of an existing non-functioning 12.5-ton gas HVAC unit in Room 4 at Rusch Community Park. The new unit must be R454B-equipped with a new economizer, designed to enhance energy efficiency and improve overall performance. The scope includes coordinating access, lockout/tagout procedures, unit disconnection, crane service for the removal and proper disposal of the old unit, furnishing and installing the new packaged HVAC unit, installing a new fused safety disconnect with fuses, fabricating and installing a new curb adaptor, providing and installing a new gas flexible connector with a safety shut-off valve, installing necessary condensate piping to the nearest roof drain, furnishing and installing a code-compliant supply air smoke detector and a new programmable Title 24 thermostat. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for securing components, performing system start-up, testing, verification, site cleanup, and obtaining all necessary permits, mechanical engineering plans, Title 24 documentation, and inspections.
