Tehachapi City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, FIRE LIFE SAFETY SYSTEM INSPECTION, TESTING, AND REPORTING SERVICES MULTI-FACILITY – THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 800 Enterprise Way, Tehachapi, CA 93561, USA in Kern County.

General Project Description

The City of Tehachapi's Public Works Department is soliciting proposals for a three-year agreement to provide comprehensive Fire Life Safety System Inspection, Testing, Documentation, and Reporting Services for three (3) City facilities: Tehachapi Police Department, Train Depot Museum, and Beekay Theatre. The scope includes initial five-year internal fire sprinkler inspections (baseline in Year One) in accordance with NFPA 25 and California Title 19, annual testing of fire alarm systems, annual sprinkler system tests, annual emergency generator, egress lighting, and exit sign tests (for Police Dept.), semi-annual FM-200 system service (for Police Dept.), annual battery backup lighting and exit signage inspections (for Museum and Theatre), and quarterly sprinkler system tests. The contractor will also be responsible for installing State Fire Marshal compliant tags. Repair and corrective work are not part of the base scope but may be authorized separately based on submitted rates and estimates.
