General Project Description

The project involves the replacement of existing water pipelines in poor condition. The scope includes the construction of approximately 2,600 feet of 6-inch and 8-inch water main pipeline, approximately 1,700 feet of 2-inch and 4-inch water service laterals, installation of water meter boxes, fire hydrants and laterals, and ancillary items such as fittings, valves, locator wire, and marking tape. Work also includes earthwork, rock excavation, pavement restoration (AC pavement and base), site preparation, temporary environmental controls, pipeline testing, disinfection, and abandonment of existing facilities. The work will primarily be performed in the Tahoe Donner Ski Bowl Condominiums, on Glenshire Drive, and on Donner Pass Road at the fire house.
