General Project Description

This project aims to improve Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) communication links between the District office and eight remote facilities. The scope includes the installation of approximately 42,522 feet of loose tube fiber optic cable in existing conduits and on messenger strand, along with trenching, conduit installation, precast concrete communication boxes, fiber optic splice closures, fusion splices, and termination equipment. The work also involves fiber testing and documentation across various locations in Truckee, California, including five remote water and electric facilities. Ancillary items such as cable management, fittings, labels, and appurtenances are also part of the scope.
