Truckee Donner Public Utility District is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Martis Valley Substation Civil Construction - 2026, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near Riverview Dr, Plainville, CT 06062, USA in Capitol Planning Region.
General Project Description
This project involves civil construction for the Martis Valley Substation. The scope of work includes the demolition and removal of existing steel structures, concrete foundations, vaults, conduits, and boxes. It also entails extensive earthwork including grading, installation of drainage infrastructure, and site revegetation. Key installations comprise vaults, boxes, and conduits for primary and secondary electric cables, control wiring, and fiber-optic cables, along with thermal concrete slurry encasement for primary electric conduits. The project modifies substation fencing and gates, adds to the substation ground grid, and involves the installation and repair of concrete foundations. Pavement work includes removal, installation, and resurfacing of asphalt surfaces. Electrical components to be replaced or installed include insulators, overhead bus, arresters, substation lighting, and camera systems. The project also calls for the installation of District-provided equipment such as 145 kV VCB, meter pedestals, and station service transformers, procurement and installation of steel primary riser structures, and the installation and termination of various electric and fiber-optic cables. Finally, comprehensive testing and commissioning of the substation protection and control systems are required.
