General Project Description

Tuolumne County is seeking proposals for a Project Manager (PM) to oversee and implement defensible space activities on private properties. This project is funded by a Community Wildfire Defense Grant. The PM will be responsible for coordinating property assessments, developing parcel-specific scopes of work, directing contractors performing defensible space work, conducting quality control inspections, and serving as the primary point of contact for property owners and contractors. The work focuses on residential properties in Cedar Ridge, Yankee Hill/Columbia, and Mi-Wuk Village within Tuolumne County, with an anticipated implementation on up to 1,290 properties (2,723 acres) in compliance with California Public Resources Code (PRC) 4291.
