General Project Description

This project involves the replacement of the sanitary sewer main on El Paseo in Stanislaus County, Turlock, California. The scope of work includes installing 1,150 lineal feet of new PVC sanitary sewer main pipe via open cut installation, new sanitary sewer service laterals via trenchless installation, abandoning the existing sewer main pipe in place, and restoring trenches and disturbed areas. The project also includes mobilization, construction project signs, traffic control, potholing existing utilities, removal of existing improvements, tree trimming, earthwork, shoring, sheeting, bracing, sanitary sewer manhole installation, connections to existing manholes/pipes, grinding (cold plane method) of asphalt pavement, adjustment of frames and covers to grade, and allowances for unknown utilities and irrigation repairs. Bid alternates include the removal of existing sanitary sewer main with new line installation in place and temporary handling of wastewater flows. The work requires all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as outlined in the contract plans.
