General Project Description

This project involves the replacement of existing gate valves of various sizes along Geer Road between Wayside Drive and Hedstrom Road in Turlock, California, and other associated work. The scope includes mobilization, construction project signage, traffic control, potholing for existing utilities, removal of existing improvements, earthwork and grading, and adjustment of existing frames and covers to grade. Allowances are included for encountering unknown utilities and for the replacement of asbestos cement pipe if damaged during operations. All work must comply with current City of Turlock Standard Specifications, State of California Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and Plans, and project-specific Special Provisions. Night work (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) is generally required to minimize water service disruptions and traffic impacts.
