Union Sanitary District is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, SWITCHBOARD NO. 3 AND MOTOR CONTROL CENTER NO. 25 REPLACEMENT PROJECT, identified under Solicitation ID: 800-564. Work is to be performed near 5072 Benson Rd, Union City, CA 94587, USA in Alameda County.

General Project Description

This project involves the electrical power modification and replacement at the Alvardo Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope includes the demolition and replacement of existing 480V Switchboard No. 3 (SWBD-3) and Motor Control Center No. 25 (MCC-25) located in the Main Electrical Building (Building No. 78). Work further entails de-energization, disconnection, off-haul, and disposal of existing equipment; modifications to the existing electrical busway duct; installation of temporary electrical panelboards and cables; assembly and installation of new District-furnished SWBD-3 and MCC-25; re-termination of wiring; and comprehensive electrical testing. Additionally, the project includes the re-feed of 480V power from SWBD-3 to MCC No. 30 in the Cogeneration Building (Building No. 90), requiring the construction of a new underground electrical duct bank, asphalt pavement restoration, installation of aboveground conduits, termination of new wiring, and demolition of existing wiring. Provisions for all necessary shoring and bracing for excavations, adhering to Labor Code requirements, are also included.
