General Project Description

This project involves the installation of a comprehensive fire suppression system in the Engineering Tower. The scope includes installing an underground main water feed, fire pumps, back-flow devices, and all necessary piping, equipment, and apparatuses for a fully functional sprinkler system. The contractor will repurpose the existing dry standby pipe to serve as a main wet sprinkler riser and install a new sprinkler system on all floors to provide a fully sprinklered building. Design for the sprinkler layout will be a deferred submittal. Additionally, the work includes asbestos abatement on certain floors.
