General Project Description
The University of California, Berkeley, is undertaking the Bancroft Fulton Student Housing Project, which involves the construction of a 23-story residence hall, approximately 350,000 gross square feet, accommodating up to 1,625 beds and a 500-seat dining hall. The construction, estimated at $310 million, is being delivered via a CM at Risk with Clark Construction as the CM/Contractor, with anticipated completion by Summer 2028. This Request for Qualifications seeks special inspection and testing services for various construction elements, including soils, deep foundations, concrete, steel, cold-formed light steel framing, wind and seismic resistance, and fire-resistant materials, to ensure compliance with CBC standards and support the LEED Gold certification requirement.
