General Project Description

The University of California, Berkeley is seeking an Executive Architect to perform programming, design, and construction administration services for the modernization of two elevators in the five-story Banway Building. The existing elevators, constructed in 1961, have reached the end of their service life and require immediate replacement and modernization, including a new control system and machine room upgrade. The scope of services includes reviewing existing information, conducting detailed site/field evaluations, developing comprehensive design information coordinating MEP and life-safety scope, identifying accessibility-related scope, producing comprehensive construction design documents, providing sub-consultant cost estimates, and offering construction administration services.
