General Project Description

This project involves the installation of sculpture footings, steel plinths, steel headers, and a gravel base for the Mark di Suvero Sculpture Mamma Mobius on Crescent Lawn. The scope of work includes fabricating four steel plinth assemblies, clearing the construction site, furnishing and installing four reinforced concrete footings, constructing a raised and compacted Class II aggregate pad, fastening plinth assemblies to concrete footings with threaded rods and hardware, coordinating the placement of the sculpture, field fillet welding steel components to plinths, installing and welding a raised steel header, and backfilling with aggregate. Coordination with inspectors throughout the work sequence is also required.
