General Project Description
The University of California, Berkeley is requesting qualifications from environmental planning consultants for the Witter Rugby Field Renovation Project. The project involves renovating an approximately 4-acre site, including the installation of permanent spectator stands, improvements to lighting and sound, construction of permanent restrooms and concessions space, team support structures (offices, meeting spaces, team locker rooms), and enhanced site accessibility. The selected consultant will be responsible for providing environmental consulting services, primarily preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) or other environmental documents in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This scope includes conducting detailed environmental review, preparing technical studies, providing regulatory and strategic environmental planning support, and managing documentation and stakeholder engagement throughout the CEQA process.
