General Project Description

The University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) is seeking professional services for facility master planning for Zellerbach Hall. The project involves refreshing and updating the 2016 Zellerbach Hall Master Plan to incorporate new goals, address changes in building conditions, and develop a conceptual seismic retrofit approach to comply with UC Seismic Safety Policy. The selected consultant team will review and update building systems condition assessments (architectural, accessibility/ADA, structural, MEP, life-safety), identify deferred maintenance, conduct a Tier 2 Deficiency-Only Evaluation per ASCE41-23, and review/update space needs for various facility functions. Key deliverables include seismic assessments, a preferred seismic retrofit concept, conceptual cost estimates, professional renderings, and an updated Zellerbach Hall Facility Master Plan Report.
