General Project Description

The project involves the renovation of the open turf play area at Balboa Middle School. The scope includes the removal of existing turf, installation of new field and irrigation equipment, and associated site clearing, tilling, grading, and ground preparation. This also covers the installation of chain link fencing and gates, concrete work for paving, walks, curbs, and seat walls, and hydroseeding. The Contractor is responsible for general site work, demolition, all necessary connections, coordination with existing utilities, and a 90-day maintenance period for the landscape work, and a one-year guarantee for irrigation and plant material. Key activities include subgrade preparation, compaction, finish grading, material hauling, dewatering, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety, construction, and environmental protection.
