General Project Description
The City of Ventura is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of Flameless Ration Heaters. The project requires the provision of water-activated exothermic chemical heaters, packaged in plastic heating bags designed to heat Meal, Ready-to-Eat, Individual portions. The heaters must adhere to detailed material specifications, including a supercorroding Mg-Fe alloy powder, specific plastic bag requirements, heater pad design, and labeling standards. Materials and components shall be food-safe per 21 CFR, Parts 170-189, and material safety datasheets (MSDS) are required.
