General Project Description

This project involves the installation of a new 60-foot-high communication tower and a prefabricated radio equipment shed at Fire Station 21. The scope includes the construction of concrete foundations, slab, entry landing, and bollards, along with all necessary structural, architectural, and electrical components for a complete operational installation. Excluded from this contract are the final installation and activation of radio equipment, antennas, mounts, dishes, and connectors, which will be handled under separate contracts. The contractor is responsible for all trenching, backfill, compaction, and restoration for new underground electrical, telecom, and coaxial conduits, extending these into the existing building, and making final connections to electrical and telecommunications systems. The work also includes providing stub-outs and terminations for owner-furnished radio equipment, installing a new exterior cable bridge, constructing a dry well, and implementing grounding and bonding systems. Additionally, the contractor must repair or replace any existing concrete, paving, and site improvements disturbed during construction to an equal or better condition.
