General Project Description

The project involves the construction of a new communications tower and generator at Fire Station 41 in Simi Valley, CA. The scope includes constructing foundations and concrete footings for the Owner-furnished communications tower, installing structural steel, grounding, bonding, lightning protection, and the complete tower grounding system. The project also entails installing the Owner-furnished prefabricated Thermo Bond radio equipment building, including its reinforced concrete foundation, slab, entry landing, relocation, setting, leveling, anchoring, rigging, grouting, shimming, anchorage, sealants, conduits, and R56 grounding/bonding system. Additionally, the Contractor will install an Owner-furnished emergency generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) to provide backup power. All demolition, removal, transportation, and disposal of existing materials are also required, along with providing complete as-built drawings. The final installation and activation of radio equipment, antennas, mounts, dishes, and connectors are explicitly excluded from this contract and will be completed by others.
