General Project Description

The project involves construction management and inspection services for the "Safer Access to Pajaro Valley High School and Beyond" project. The construction includes several key components: relocation of a 6-inch sanitary sewer force main, widening the Caltrans-owned bridge over Highway 1 (Harkins Slough Rd.) to accommodate enhanced pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and various pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements near feeder schools such as curb ramp replacements and striping. The work also includes temporary erosion and sediment control (SWPPP), traffic control, earthwork, concrete structures (precast concrete vaults, barriers), asphalt paving (hot mix asphalt for flexible paving and asphalt curbs), storm drain pipe and inlets, utility box installations, sign posts, roadside signs, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, and removal of existing striping and markings. Asbestos-containing materials in bridges will also be managed and disposed of.
