The Weed Fuel Mitigation Project involves fuel mitigation mastication within and around the City of Weed in Siskiyou County, California. The project aims to reduce fuel loading within the project area, protect habitable structures, and reduce fire hazard for many years, funded by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection's Wildfire Prevention Program. The scope includes masticating cut material, reducing slash depth, and avoiding damage to residual trees.
