General Project Description
This Request for Proposal seeks professional engineering services for a Feasibility Study concerning the Microfiltration (MF) System Replacement at the Torrance Refinery Water Recycling Plant (TRWRP). The existing MF system, installed in 1999, has experienced deterioration and reduced capacity, necessitating equipment replacement and ancillary support. The study's objectives are to identify replacement needs, evaluate options to increase water production capacity, and analyze the potential relocation and installation of the West Basin's potable ultrafiltration system (PUF). The scope includes technical and economic evaluations of various alternatives, site investigations, Class 5 cost estimates, and the preparation of comprehensive reports with recommendations for the future of the MF system.
