West Contra Costa Unified School District- Facilities Operations is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Shannon Elementary School Site Electrical, identified under Solicitation ID: 1000005008. Work is to be performed near 685 Marlesta Rd, Pinole, CA 94564, USA in Contra Costa County.

General Project Description

This project involves new electrical work, specifically the installation of a new 1200-AMP main switchboard (MSB) and its connection to the new PG&E service at Shannon Elementary School. The scope includes selective site demolition (asphalt, concrete sidewalks, curb/gutter, existing asphalt, fencing, landscaping), earthwork activities (clearing, grubbing, excavation, fill, utility trenching, backfill, erosion control), concrete work (forming, reinforcing, cast-in-place concrete for transformer and MSB pads), installation of bollards, temporary facilities (fencing, sanitary, power, water, dumpsters), and disposal of debris. Electrical work covers basic materials and methods, conductors, cables, grounding, bonding, raceways, boxes, seismic controls, identification systems, lighting control devices, panelboards, and wiring devices. The MSB will be supplied and delivered by the District, and the contractor is responsible for offloading and installation. Hazardous materials identified include lead-based paint, fluorescent tubes, non-incandescent lamps, batteries, light fixture ballasts with PCBs, and HVAC units with ozone-depleting chemicals, requiring proper handling and disposal per regulations.
