General Project Description

The City of West Sacramento is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to conduct a comprehensive Park Ranger Program Feasibility Study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the need, scope, structure, cost, and potential benefits of implementing a dedicated Park Ranger program within the City's extensive park, trail, and open space system. The project involves needs assessment, benchmarking existing programs in similar municipalities, extensive stakeholder engagement, detailed operational and organizational analysis, financial analysis including cost estimates and funding sources, and ultimately providing a final written report with implementation recommendations and formal presentations to City commissions and council.
