General Project Description
The City of West Sacramento is seeking consultant services for the US 50/BUS 80 Community Connectivity Project. The project aims to conduct planning studies and conceptual designs to address obsolete decommissioned freeway structures on Cabaldon Parkway and Jefferson Boulevard, design alternatives for local use, incorporate complete street elements, connect communities, and complement existing city plans like a planned light rail extension and mixed-use/housing projects. The scope includes overall project management, completing a Project Initiation Document (PID) and an Infill and Transit Oriented Development Feasibility Analysis, conducting extensive stakeholder and community engagement (including multilingual services), performing detailed traffic analyses, environmental reviews (NEPA/CEQA), and urban planning/market feasibility studies. This comprehensive consultant effort will define the project for subsequent programming and potential construction on the State Highway System.
