General Project Description

This is a multi-phase regional wastewater conveyance and treatment program for the City of Wheatland, Olivehurst Public Utility District (OPUD) service area, and southern Yuba County. The primary goal is to decommission the existing Wheatland Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and convey raw wastewater approximately 13 miles to the OPUD WWTP for treatment. This contract specifically includes the construction of three new wastewater pump stations and associated pipelines (approximately 7.7 miles of force main) to transport raw wastewater from Wheatland to the OPUD service boundary. The conveyance system involves both pipeline-in-trench and trenchless road and creek crossings using horizontal directional drilling (HDD). Key components also include flow equalization and storage at Pump Station No. 2, existing pump station demolition and replacement, electrical controls, culvert replacements, site restoration, start-up, and testing. Additionally, the project involves water main extensions, roadway restoration, tree removal, and SCADA integration for new and existing pump stations and systems.
