General Project Description

The City of Yreka Code Enforcement Department is seeking to pre-qualify contractors for as-needed services including weed abatement, vegetation management, dead and dying tree removal, and refuse abatement services. These services are crucial for maintaining properties, preventing noxious weed spread, meeting CalFire and City vegetation management requirements, ensuring healthy habitats, and managing wildfire hazards. Pre-qualified contractors will be awarded a three-year contract (with option for two one-year extensions) and will compete for individual bid packages issued by the department. Work involves removal of weeds, grass, invasive vegetation, fire hazard vegetation, brush, and accumulated refuse; mowing, cutting, clearing, herbicide application, landscape maintenance, erosion control, tree assessment, removal, felling, stump grinding, emergency tree services, tree trimming, pruning, and proper disposal of all materials. Contractors must comply with environmental, safety, and site-specific conditions.
