General Project Description

The project focuses on wastewater collections system improvements, including the rehabilitation of approximately 306 linear feet of 15-inch concrete sewer pipeline using the Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) method, and the replacement of about 116 linear feet of concrete sewer pipeline via open trenching. The scope encompasses mobilization/demobilization, traffic control, trenching, shoring, bracing, sanitary sewer cleaning, pre- and post-CIPP CCTV inspections, 4-inch lateral reinstatement (including remote internal cutting and top hat installation), CIPP testing, and miscellaneous site restoration (asphalt, concrete, fencing, and landscaping). A critical component is the implementation of a comprehensive Bypass Plan to divert sewage flows safely during improvements, involving pumps, generators, piping, bulkheads, and continuous monitoring. Earthwork, paving, and concrete work for curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveways are also part of the project, all adhering to Caltrans standards.
