Zone 7 Water Agency - California is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, On-Call Well Repair and Maintenance, identified under Solicitation ID: 318-26. Work is to be performed near 100 N Canyons Pkwy, Livermore, CA 94551, USA in Alameda County.
General Project Description
This project involves providing on-call well maintenance services for the District's nine (9) production wells over a three-year term, renewable for up to an additional two years (total five years), with 3% annual bid item adjustments. The scope of work includes pump and pump column removal/replacement, well cleaning operations, well development, repair and maintenance of pumps, and general on-call maintenance of Zone 7 wells. It also includes mobilization/demobilization, temporary facilities for well water disposal, brush and bail operations, replacement of damaged retainers/spiders, furnishing new pump column segments, well disinfection, and allowances for miscellaneous equipment purchases and extra work. Construction is to be performed in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin, California.
General Bid Items
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Lump Sum Work Item: Mobilization and Demobilization for drill rig to remove and replace pump/pump column (maximum 7 day/1 week response time).
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Lump Sum Work Item: Temporary Tanks, pumps, piping and associated miscellaneous rental equipment to properly dispose of well water during well cleaning, well development, and well disinfection operations.
- Quantity: 600 Unit: Lineal Feet Work Item: Removal/reinstallation of pump and pump column (8 to 10-inch diameter pump column and associated connections), including installing new rubber shaft bushings, suction pipe, and pump column.
- Quantity: 300 Unit: Lineal Feet Work Item: Removal/reinstallation of pump and pump column (12 to 14-inch diameter pump column and associated connections), including installing new rubber shaft bushings, suction pipe, and pump column.
- Quantity: 30 Unit: Hours Work Item: Brush and bail operations. Specifications: for scrub brushing well screens, then bailing debris from the bottom of the well (rate of brushing not more than 40 feet of screen per hour).
- Quantity: 90 Unit: Each Work Item: Replace damaged retainers/spiders.
- Quantity: 600 Unit: Lineal Feet Work Item: Furnish new (8 and 10-inch diameter) pump column segments.
- Quantity: 300 Unit: Lineal Feet Work Item: Furnish new (12 and 14-inch diameter) pump column segments.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Lump Sum Work Item: Well Disinfection per AWWA 654-03 or more recent standard and disposal in compliance with Municipal Regional NPDES Permit.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Lump Sum Work Item: Miscellaneous Equipment Purchase Allowance – pump or miscellaneous equipment purchases (to be used as directed by the Engineer, $100,000 total).
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Lump Sum Work Item: Extra Work Allowance – Rehabilitation, dual air-lifting, video inspections, above ground disconnects (to be used as directed by the Engineer, $150,000 total).
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Lump Sum Work Item: All Work required by the Contract Documents not described in other bid items.
