General Project Description

The project involves the renovation and addition to the existing aquatic center at Glendora High School. The scope includes selective site, pool, and interior demolition; new exterior and interior wall construction with metal stud framing, insulation, and plaster; creation of two new toilet rooms; installation of a PVC roofing system with insulation and sheet metal flashing; acoustic tile ceilings; and new solid phenolic lockers. Additionally, the project encompasses the installation of FRP louvered doors, new outdoor shower heads, patching and repair of the existing roof for new HVAC equipment, new GFIC outlets, relocation of existing light fixtures, accessibility-compliant concrete pool deck construction (including stairs and gutter systems), stainless steel pool ladders, an ADA-compliant pool lift, new 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards/platform, and starting blocks. Site improvements include new hardscape, landscaping, concrete paving, and curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces. The project also involves the installation of new bleachers, specialized swimming pool trim tile, pool plaster finish, underwater lighting, comprehensive swimming pool start-up and maintenance, detailed testing and inspections for swimming pool elements, site water utility distribution piping, and stormwater conveyance systems.
