General Project Description

This project involves comprehensive flooring repair and replacement services at various schools within the Cajon Valley Union School District. The scope includes the demolition and off-site disposal of existing flooring and base, notably including asbestos-containing materials at specific school sites requiring certified demolition. New installations encompass designated carpet, Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), sheet vinyl, and rubber cove base. All new flooring installations must adhere to manufacturer's instructions, use specified adhesives, and feature welded seams, with materials delivered and acclimated at least 48 hours prior to installation. Replacing all existing base with new 4-inch molded rubber cove base and installing new reducer and transition strips completes the scope. The owner will be responsible for furniture and equipment relocation and color selections.

Quantity: Minimum 6'x6' per single doorway, minimum 10'x6' per double door U.O.N. Unit: - Work Item: Installation of Integrally welded Abrasive Action II. Specifications: At all exterior entryways. Style: 02578, Color: 19103 Winter Gray. No walk-off mats or squares allowed.
Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Replacement of all existing base with new 4" topset cove base. Specifications: Molded rubber, Roppe or Johnson brand, Color: Black (except where noted otherwise). Color selection by Owner to complement carpeting.
Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Replacement of all existing reducer and transition strips with new. Specifications: Molded rubber, color selection by Owner. Specified transitions installed where carpet meets resilient flooring.
Quantity: - Unit: - Work Item: Installation of Tarkett iQ Optima Homogeneous Sheet Vinyl. Specifications: At all restrooms. All seams, including inside and outside corners, to be welded using matching manufacturer rod. No caulking of seams accepted.
