General Project Description
This project involves the interior lab renovation of an existing 834 square feet space within Hubbs Hall at the University of California, San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO). The scope of work includes the demolition of existing space, procurement and installation of new Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, laboratory casework, and flooring. Additionally, the project includes improvements to the ADA parking and path of travel. The University seeks General Building Contractors with experience in renovation projects within fully occupied commercial or institutional research labs, including fire protection systems, MEP retrofits, and managing disruptive activities and utility shutdowns around building occupants.
