General Project Description

This project involves the renovation of Hubbs Hall rooms 4300, 4305, and 4310 at the University of California, San Diego, to create a new computational lab room, a new general lab area, and a space to house new air tables and lasers. The scope of work includes demolition, infrastructure, general construction, installation and maintenance of fire protection, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, telecommunication, and data systems. Key tasks also involve obtaining deferred approvals for fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems, managing hazardous materials like PCB ballasts, transformers, and fluorescent lamps, and ensuring potable water system disinfection. All work must comply with various regulatory requirements, including the Buy Clean California Act and environmental control measures for dust and noise.
