General Project Description

This project involves the renovation of Sinnott Park Playground in Milpitas, California. The scope of work includes comprehensive site preparation, demolition of existing structures and materials, earthwork and grading, trenching and backfilling, and the installation of new play equipment, poured-in-place rubber protective surfacing, decomposed granite pavement, and various site furnishings (benches, trash receptacles, bollards, signs). It also covers the installation of metal and hardware for play area fencing and gates, a complete automatic landscape irrigation system, landscape soil preparation, landscape planting, and site drainage utilities including catch basins and drain lines.   • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Decomposed Granite Pavement, Specifications: Furnishing and installation of decomposed granite paving material (e.g., Sunset Gold Path Fines with a 3/8 inch minus gradation) and stabilizer (patented, non-toxic organic binder like Natracil or approved equal), material pre-mixed by supplier, leveled by raking and compacted by light roller. Finish grades to conform to plans and allow for drainage.
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: 90-days Maintenance Period, Specifications: Full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals to ensure maintenance and repair of minor defects and issues at no additional cost to the City.
