General Project Description

This project involves the removal and installation of water valves, sized 4" through 12", buried below ground in residential areas, easements on private property, and arterial streets within the City of Fullerton. The scope includes associated civil work such as mobilization, clearing and grubbing, temporary traffic control, water pollution control, excavation and backfill, trench resurfacing with asphalt concrete, concrete repairs (curb, gutter, sidewalks), street striping repair, adjustment of water valve boxes to grade, protection and coordination with fiber optic facilities, and various miscellaneous construction items. All work must conform to the latest Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction ("Greenbook"), 2024 Edition, Caltrans Standard Specifications, City of Fullerton Standard Drawings, and specific Special Provisions.
