General Project Description

The City of Pittsburg is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms for professional design services. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing a biddable Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) package for the Highlands Ranch Tank Improvement Project. This project involves the rehabilitation of a 1 Million Gallon (MG) Steel On-Grade tank, approximately 85 feet in diameter by 25 feet high, that has been in service since 1999. Based on a recent assessment, improvements are required to address corrosion, coating deterioration, and ladder deficiencies. The scope of design services includes reviewing existing tank documentation, designing new cathodic protection and interior coating systems, designing spot repairs for the exterior coating, designing the installation of new 12-inch vents, and designing the repair or replacement of the interior ladder. The consultant will also provide bid support services.
