General Project Description

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide on-call, district-wide wood and iron fence installation and repair work. This involves comprehensive repair and maintenance services, including new installations and the demolition/removal of existing fences and walls, across various Fire District facilities. Specific types of work include installing wood privacy fences (6, 7, or 8 ft high, with or without lattice panels, pressure-treated lumber, stain/sealer, matching pedestrian gates with locking hardware) and wrought iron fences (6, 7, or 8 ft high, 11 gauge 2x2 frame, powder coating, 3-inch picket spacing, matching pedestrian gates with locking hardware). The project also includes the fabrication and installation of keypad pedestrian gates (steel or wrought iron frame, 3 or 4 ft wide, 11-gauge 2x2 frame, 3-inch picket spacing, optional wood or 12 gauge expanded metal facing, Sargent lockset with lever and keypad entrance/panic hardware, lever guard, powder coating, and two 3x3 posts). The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and labor, and must provide 24/7 trouble-call service.
