General Project Description

The Contra Costa County Department of Public Works Fleet Division is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide pressure washer and oil-water separator maintenance and repair services. The required services include parts, preventive maintenance, routine quarterly and annual inspections, and repair services for County-owned oil-water separators (e.g., Alpha 1500 Above-Ground) and pressure washer equipment/systems (e.g., Hotsy Gas-Powered Steam Cleaners) used daily in the car wash area. Routine maintenance and servicing are necessary to ensure proper operation, extend equipment lifespan, and comply with EPA requirements. The scope covers engine service (oil changes, filter/spark plug replacement, fuel system checks), pump maintenance (oil level checks/changes, packing inspection, filter/strainer cleaning), system integrity checks (hoses, tips, guns, wands), safety checks (valves, guards), and burner system maintenance for hot water units (coil cleaning, fuel pump checks, electrode cleaning, burner adjustments). All work must comply with applicable Federal, State, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements and require written documentation with photographs of inspections and repairs.
